What’s coming up this week at Calvary?
Hey, join us this Sunday morning at 10:45. Plan on getting here a few minutes early and grab a cup of Biggby coffee in the East lobby before you join us for worship.
This Sunday is our conclusion of our missions’ conference. The service theme is “Missions: A Lifestyle that Makes an Eternal Difference”. There is so much to missions: sharing God’s love, spreading the Word, helping those in need. When we begin to catch a glimpse of the fact that God loves everyone—not just those we come into contact with everyday—that he cares just as much about the person in Indonesia, Malawi, or Portugal—then our lives start to see the impact that we can have as children of God.
Pastor Dave Datema was with us last week and he shared some incredible stats during our ABF time that helped shaped our understanding of worship missions today. This week our own Dave Riddle will be sharing and challenging us with the thought that “God lost something…and he wants it back”.
Pastor Dave will also be sharing about an exciting Metro Detroit evangelism emphasis that will be taking place the 40 days after Easter. It is called “E.A.C.H.: Everyone A Chance to Hear”. Make sure you come prepared to see how God is working in our world and be ready to be challenged to serve.
Last week we had the unique privilege of connecting with our missionary Cindy Todd in France via skype. This week we are planning on connecting to SEND missionaries Larry & Kelly Bigelow in Glenn Allen Alaska.
The worship team has also been preparing to lead us in worship. We are worshipping God as the One Who Saves.
Here are a few of the songs they will be sharing with you. Click on the link (or paste to your browser) to hear the song and get your heart prepared to worship with us.
