Prelude to a Kiss #6…

As we’re steamrolling toward the joyous Resurrection Day, let’s not neglect to feel the weight of these hallowed weeks we’re in. The Lord of the Universe came and died that we might be free from the insurmountable burden of sin. Our Savior purchased our freedom with his blood and pain. The weeks leading up to what He knew He’d endure must have been days of mental anguish beyond our comprehension.

But Jesus endured. We were bought with a price – and paid for in full. For that we sing of His glory, and we’ll sing of His glory forever.

Here are the verses we’ll be diving into this Sunday:

But he said to them, “How can they say that the Christ is David’s son? For David himself says in the Book of Psalms, “‘The Lord said to my Lord, Sit at my right hand, until I make your enemies your footstool.’ David thus calls him Lord, so how is he his son?” And in the hearing of all the people he said to his disciples, “Beware of the scribes, who like to walk around in long robes, and love greetings in the marketplaces and the best seats in the synagogues and the places of honor at feasts, who devour widows’ houses and for a pretense make long prayers. They will receive the greater condemnation.”

–Luke 20:41-47

This isn’t a game, says Jesus. This isn’t a show. This is the real deal; the realest deal there is.

See you Sunday.
